PRAYING 4 HOMELESS

Used to sleep on the concrete, staring at the stars, Counting up the bruises, hiding all the scars. Cold nights in the shadows, felt like the end, But I closed that chapter, wouldn't break or bend.

Flipped the page, stepped into the light, Claimed my own power, stepped into my might. From a cardboard box to a brick-and-mortar dome, Signed the deed, turned the key, now I’m finally home.

Great journey started when I changed my mind, Left the broken pieces and the struggle behind. No more renting space in the pain of the past, Building up a future that is meant to last.
